South Korean Hostage Crisis
I’ve been following the Korean hostage crisis in afghanistan. Last few days, 2 of 23 held by Taliban/terrorists were killed….Sad, but expected outcome. Last night, I was browsing through some Korean news outlets and saw that Korean government is asking world leaders (mainly US) to reconsider the policy on dealing with the terrorists to save those still alive and held by the terrorists. I say don’t do it - what are they (Korean Gov’t) thinking?!? Don’t they know that if you give in once, the terrorists will be embolden to kidnap more civilians to demand for more in the future? Korean government and its people have to take responsibility and deal with the problem. Another thing…what were these people thinking going to Afghanistan as a Christian group? And why didn’t Korean government give them armed escort for their safety?
