Beavs 33, USC 31

After getting slapped around in Corvallis, USC’s hope for BCS is slim to none. Watching the game today, I was torn. Why? I wanted to see the Beavs win, but I also wanted to see a PAC-10 team have a run for the BCS and National championship. My bad…my bad. Now that the game is over, I’m glad that my Beavs took one off from USC. The Beavs are on a roll. This makes it 3 straight. The Beavs are 5-3 overall, 3-2 in the conference.

Quick thumbs up to Stroughter. U-Da-Man!

TransUnion bites….

Today, I happened to check on my credit history and I ran across some disturbing things. Here’s what I noticed. Eqifax and Experian seems to have correct credit information about me, but TransUnion had informations that had nothing do with me. In addition, in the public record section, Equifax and Experian showed correct info, but TransUnion showed public record informations that had nothing to do with me. This is outrageous and very disturbing that a information service organization serving businesses and consumers is so irresponsible. I’ve submitted my dispute form to TransUnion. I’ll post more based on their response.

Social Networking

How will social networking sites evolve in U.S.? Take a look at Cyworld, Pandora.tv, and Mgoon. These are some of the active sites based in South Korea. Most of the content on these sites revolve around streaming video, photos, and journals.

Wearable Technology?

Urban Tool, an Australian company, makes a shirt that allows you to operate your iPod directly through a smart fabric interface on the shirt. I don’t know about you, but I think this is ridiculous. Let’s see….You are walking around wearing a shirt with PLAY/Pause/Forward/Backward/Stop button. Think about it.

GO Beavs!

The Beavs win…The Beavs win. We have a making of a winning streak. The win against Arizona make it 2 in a row for the Beavs. Next week, the Beavs take on USC in Corvallis. Though I want to see USC in the BCS for the national championship, but I have to cheer for the Beavs next week. Sorry USC, but you must go down next week. Go Beavs!

Luck of the Irish

UCLA football fans gotta be sick after watching the game vs. the Irish. In my opinion, UCLA dominated the game…Well, may be not dominated, but UCLA should have won the game. UCLA had the lead 17-13 in the 4th, but gave the ball back to the Irish with time to spare. With 25 seconds left in the 4th, Brady Quinn threw a dart to Jeff Samardzija for touchdown. UCLA’s D just couldn’t hold the persistent Irish offense. Irish….you are hanging by a thread. Say bye-bye to BCS bowl. I’m guessing that the Irish will be out of the BCS bowl race by the time they meet USC.

IE 7 has finally launched

Microsoft has finally launched the update to IE 6 (wow, it took them 5 years for this major release). IE 7 features match up with Firefox 1.5/2. I don’t think Microsoft will leapfrog over Firefox with this release, but it will definitely impress IE 6 users enough to keep them from migrating to Firefox (I’m on a mac, so I use Safari or Firefox).

What’s different in IE 7
-New interface
-Tabbed browsing
-Enhanced search box
-Enhanced RSS reader
-Antiphishing

If you want to download MS IE 7, click here.
You can also download IE 7 Optimized for Yahoo.

Apple’s iPhone Rumor

I read today on “Apple Insider” that Apple may launch 2 versions of iPhone in Q1 of 2007. One model may be a smart phone, including integrated keyboard, video and music capability, while the other model may be a slimmer phone with music functionality. I wonder if they will sport the Apple White or the sleek aluminum casing of macbook pro.

Beavers over the Huskies

Over the weekend, Beavers finally got a Pac10 win over the Huskies, 27 - 10. It’s about time. Next week, the Beaves are at Arizona. I’m hoping the Beaves can pull off another win at Arizona. Go Beaves!

Job’s take on Zune

In an interview with Newsweek, Steve Jobs said he doesn’t see Microsoft’s Zune Media Player as a threat to iPod digital media players. We’ll here’s my 2 cents. I think Apple has to aware of Microsoft’s efforts. My thinking is, Microsoft could take some market share away from Apple…or, at least give Apple run for its money. I guess time will tell.
