OSU Shafted!

OSU, having beaten Oregon in the civil war and finishing 3rd in pac-10, was shafted by Sun bowl. OSU (8-4) will be playing in the Emerald bowl against Maryland (6-6) - what a crock. I was hoping for Holiday bowl, but I knew it would be tough. Now, Sun bowl, I thought was a sure bet. Well…I’m looking forward to see the beavs destroy the Terrapins. Go Beavers!

OSU Football

OSU is facing Stanford this weekend. Beavers are coming off of 2 wins (Arizona and Cal) and win against Stanford could be a confidence builder going into USC game in 2 weeks. On paper, OSU should dominate Stanford. Let’s hope that’s the case.

Go Beavs!

OSU Football

What’s up with Beaver football this season? Last 2 games, OSU really stunk it up. OSU lead both games going into the half, but just couldn’t keep the effort going. I really believed that OSU had a 8-4 season locked up. What was I smoking! OSU is sitting 2 and 3 (0-2 in PAC 10). The Beavs play Arizona today. OSU should win, but you never know.

BTW, OSU beat Utah…Utah ran over Louisville (formerly ranked 8) .

Pac-10 Football

Every year, I hear the same thing about Pac-10. Pac-10 is not as tough as SEC or Big Ten. I say Pac-10 #1. :-)

Saturday morning, I watched ESPN’s NCAA football pre-game coverage. Lee Corso began cutting down Pac-10 football by predicting that Michigan will take it to the Ducks. What a joke! I don’t know what research Corso read before predicting Michigan’s win, but if my memory serves me correct, but last week, the Ducks soundly beat Houston (Conf. USA) 48-27 and Michigan got their ass handed to them by Appalachian State. Corso should stop drinking the koolaid and get on board with Pac-10.

Pac-10 went 7-1 this week. Only loss came from the Beavs. Oregon over Michigan (Big 10), Cal over Colorado St. (Mt. West), Washington over Boise St. (Western Athletic), UCLA over BYU (Mt. West), Washington St. over San Diego St. (Mt. West), Arizona over N. Arizona, ASU over Colorado (Big 12).

Looking Forward to NCAA Football

OSU Football season will kick-off against Utah on 8/30. Utah, out of Mountain West div., should be a good warm-up for OSU. Looking at the schedule, OSU could end the season with 9-3 overall. The 3 losses could come from USC (Preseason #1), California (Preseason #12), UCLA (Preseason #17).

OSU Beavers…The CWS Champs!

Back to back college world series champions! Go Beavers!

CWS Follow Up

OSU walked over UC Irvine 7-1. OSU moves on to the championship held this weekend. O…S…U. Oregon State Fight, Fight, Fight.

OSU, Baseball Powerhouse?

I’m not a huge baseball fan, but I’ve been watching the NCAA college world series on ESPN — following my OSU Beavers :-) . Beavers barely made it into the series with 46-18 overall, 10-14 pac-10. Mind you, OSU won the college world series in 06. But, lost all but 2 players from the championship season to graduation and MLB. So, the expectations on the team were low by everyone…but, the team.

Last night, they crushed ASU 12-6. ASU, known for their ability to score big — I think they average 9.5 runs a game — couldn’t do anything against the Beavs. It would be amazing to see the Beavs repeat. Beavers are on tomorrw. I’ll be watching and cheering for OSU Beavers. Go Beavers!

UEFA Championship Update

Manchester Utd. went down today. AC Milan really took it to them. Beating Man Utd. soundly, AC Milan takes on Liverpool in the UEFA Championship Finals.

I predicted Man Utd. and Liverpool finals…oh well.
